ADDRESSING THE ESCALATION OF GLOBAL CONFLICT FOLLOWING THE ATTACK ON PEARL HARBOUR

The Joint Crisis Committee (JCC) is an intense and fast paced committee that encourages delegates to think spontaneously and make strategic decisions in order to respond to incoming crisis updates. The Joint Crisis Committee at BISMUN 2026 will be set in the midst of World War 2, starting right after the attack on Pearl Harbor. JCC will consist of two separate committees, Axis and Allies, simulating opposing sides of the conflict. What makes JCC unique is the information asymmetry as delegates in one room will be unaware of what the other room is deciding in real time, yet the consequences may be faced by everyone! However, for a few committee sessions over Day 2 and 3, the Allies and Axis committees may converge wherein all JCC delegates will be together in one room for a short period of time!
