Reality Check

Western countries are panicking over oil right now. It is October 20, 1973, and the global economy is in total chaos. Arab oil nations stopped sending cheap oil to the Western areas, resulting in complete chaos and confusion. This move shocked the entire Western world. Now, American leaders are demanding oil and justice on the world stage. They state that weaponizing oil can disturb the peace of the world and should not be involved in politics. They call it unfair economic pressure. This shows that Western leaders are pathetic snakes. For decades, the West weaponized money. They used the old financial system to bully small, resource- full nations.

In 1971, the United States broke the financial system with the Nixon Shock. They stopped swapping dollars for gold. This choice caused massive global inflation and made currency markets unstable. Washington printed too much paper money and exported its problems to everyone else. Yet, they still expected cheap fuel from other countries. They wanted valuable resources in exchange for cheap paper dollars. This oil freeze is a harsh but needed reality check for them.

If a resource can stop your factories, it is a weapon. If it stops your way of transportation, it is a weapon. OPEC nations are simply protecting their own land and controlling their own resources. The United States backed aggression in the recent war, but now, they must face the painful consequences of that choice. Gas lines are endless in Western cities like Oregon, New York, New Jersey, and California. Factories are shutting down quickly and the economy is declining. Civilians start protesting in the streets because of fuel shortages.

The West is now trapped in a nightmare called stagflation. This means high prices, no economic growth, and high unemployment all at once. They are suffering because they rely on resources they do not own and people they do not respect . Meanwhile, the Soviet Union is perfectly safe. They have their own vast resources and do not rely on foreign oil. They do not rely on fake paper money to run their industries. They support true equality for all developing nations. ECOSOC cannot save the old Western system. The oil weapon works, and Western power is officially over!!
