Republic TV and their role in recent protests

Republic TV is an extremely popular news channel that has been extremely successful and trusted for many years. Our news broadcasts reach 1 in every 3 people in India. We give journalists the freedom to write what they wish as we are wholly an Editor-controlled company. Not only that but we broadcast in four different languages to strengthen the diversity of our country. 

We believe that the Nation should be put first. We provide extremely interesting debates, packed with energy. We take our questions very seriously and are extremely driven to investigate situations and news thoroughly. Our channel is constantly in the loop of things, especially in this digital age and have highly educated reporters and journalists. We focus on social media quite a bit as well and have a huge following of supporters on there. Technology is a big part of Republic TV as we are technologically advanced. 

We are most famously known for our thorough investigative journalism. That pokes and prods until we find an answer. An example for this would be the Sushant Singh Rajput death case where Republic TV led the investigation and was the first to output major details that majorly contributed to the case. 

About the protests going on lately in India, we have chosen to reduce our reporting on the matter as we take the safety of our journalists very seriously. We have some of the best journalists in the country and after seeing the unfortunate and unnecessary deaths of countless journalists due to protests getting out of hand, we decided to ensure that the individuals behind all the articles that you read were a priority. It was extremely hard to make this decision as Republic TV is a channel that usually puts the pursuit of news first. However, we are extremely accountability driven as well. 

We believe that it’s journalists first and editors first. For us news is not a business, it is a passion. 

However, what truly makes Republic TV special is that we are the only independently journalist owned news organisation of this scale in the world.
