THE POPE HAS GONE BONKERS!

After the fall and imprisonment of Napoleon, the rest of Europe set out on a mission to find the political future and implement it while balancing all the states’ power. Upon meeting, all these states realised how intricate and layered this problem was and understood that they all wanted different things. A lot of countries believed that France should not be forgiven while a lot of states argued that it should be let into this Congress. Russia and Prussia had allied for the dispute of both Saxony and Poland. 

Somehow peace was held until the public found out that Napoleon had escaped his prison in Elba. There was pandemonium everywhere. Countries were scared that he would fall back into power and continue conquering and harming their homes. It seemed like the whole reason the Congress was called for, became insignificant. However, Napoleon Bonaparte did the unexpected. He went to the Pope who directly ruled the Papal states and sought forgiveness for his actions, pleading with the Pope to convert him into catholic. The Pope caved and requested the catholic countries for the unwavering support. 

While the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont and the Kingdom of Bavaria readily sided with The Pope and Napoleon. Unfortunately for them, Spain, and Austria turned down this idea as they felt this alliance would turn into a dictatorship which was exactly what the two countries were trying to avoid. Spain and Russia are made up of an insane amount of christians so when the citizens found out that their authorities had not aligned with the leader of their religion, revolutions broke out in both Spain and Austria.

Austria started to worry about Napoleon’s influence becoming stronger once again. Therefore they launched a stabilization intervention into Polish territories. This intervention was claimed to be a form of defense to steer clear from unrest. In return, this made other countries suspicious and started to wonder about Austria becoming dominant. This led Prussia to send its troops into Saxony to control Austria’s power. They did this without any state knowing. At the same time, Russia mirrored Prussia’s actions, also sending troops into Saxony unbeknown to any other country. Saxony was now under dual occupation and the alliance between Prussia and Russia started to weaken.   

Napoleon meanwhile decided to meet Tsar Alexander, the leader of Russia. Sadly, just a day after this meeting, an assasination attempt broke out on Tsar. The accents of these hitmen were described as possibly Prussian. This completely broke the alliance between Prussia and Russia, forcing Prussia to seek financial support from the UK and ally with them.

Simultaneously, an investigation in Poland uncovered that protests in Austria and Spain were started by the Pope. Disciples have been saying that the Pope must have gone bonkers to support a man like Napoleon Bonaparte who caused the deaths of millions and caused so much unrest not only in France, Europe but all around the world. These Discipiles also say that the Pope is being brainwashed by close friends in Switzerland where the Catholic and Napoleon cause is gaining immense support.

The states have split into two groups. One is for the Catholic and Napoleon cause which consists of Russia, Papal states, Portugal, Kingdom of Bavaria, Sardinia Piedmont, Naples, Switzerland and Saxony. The other is against Napoleon rule and consists of Prussia, UK, Poland, France, The Kingdom of Württemberg, Kingdom of Hanover, Spain, Austria, Netherlands and Sweden. They feel that Poland shouldn’t be annexed and that war is not necessary for peace.
